Then and Now-My Fitness & Nutrition Transformation

I started using Beachbody products about 6 years ago-because the gym just wasn't convenient anymore with two little ones. We were in a new state, I was homeschooling, and a friend recommended P90X. I had seen the infomercials and, to be honest, I really didn't think at-home workouts worked! And, I had a hard time believing the results I saw on those Beachbody commercials could possibly be real. But I was desperate. That's how my Beachbody story began.

I've always struggled with my weight. In fact, when looking for a before photo, I am hard-pressed to find any because I just didn't "do" photos. My mom had some pictures from when I was pregnant-I was fat and sassy wasn't I?! I gained 70+ pounds. Who DOES that? Shows off their belly like that?? What was I thinking??

And then, there's one other pretty recent one when I was about 15-20 pounds heavier.

You have no idea how I have put this off, and yet I'm showing you because I want YOU to see what is possible.  I want you to know that you, too, can get rid of that baby weight, that it's NEVER too late to get back in shape or in shape for the first time. 

And I'm showing you because it's real, and I'm real, with real struggles.

6 Reasons Beachbody Programs Work



So! Is Beachbody Really All that Different?

I get this question, or some variation of this question a lot. And it's a great question!  I mean, if you are like I was, nothing seemed to work for me, so you are thinking why should this be any different? If you just trust me on this when I say IT IS! then you can skip this whole list and email me right now. But, you probably want some reasons that reasonate with you!


1. Each program comes with a nutrition guide: For once, a company focuses on both aspects of a healthy weight loss... BOTH exercise AND nutrition!

2. Each program has a schedule to follow: No need to be lost on what to do when... It is given to you!

3. There is a program out there for EVERYONE: Based on your Intensity level,  and if you have any restrictions from injuries.

4. Focus on LONG TERM vs. SHORT TERM LIFESTYLE: So many FAD diets are only temporary... The food and shakes are full of chemicals, and do not give you the proper nutrition, SO when you get off these foods and go back to regular food, you will eventually gain that weight back.

Time efficient: Being that I am a mom and my husband and I commute back and forth between states, I do not have 1 or 2 hours to spend at the gym, along with trying to raise two teens alone, while I travel back and forth to the gym.... The Master's Hammer & Chisel-Your Questions Answered



I get so many questions about this workout, I thought I might share them with you. I just want you to know this up front-no matter what exercise program you choose-you have already taken the first step! You have chosen to do SOMETHING! Walk, swim, run, or Hammer & Chisel with me! Just get your body moving because a moving body feels better, lives longer, looks better, and takes you where you want to go, and nothing can get in your way!

Every Master Was Once A Beginner

1. This workout is only for people who are already in great shape, right?

No way! If you ARE already in great shape, this WILL push you to the next level. But, if you are new to exercise or it's been a long time since you've been active, this is STILL a great choice-simply use lighter weights and modify!

2. Is this workout for men who want to"bulk up"?

Listen, ladies, we are built differently than men. For we women, it will tone and sculpt. For men, you definitely can work on your Beast look!

Bulked up? NO!! Chiseled?!  You Bet!

3. I'll need a lot of equipment, right?

Nope. Again, modify. You WILL need weights. A stability ball would be helpful. There is other equipment used in the workouts, like a pull-up bar or a bench, but modifications are shown for everything.

4. I've got some injuries. Can I workout?
The key is to ALWAYS modify. Just because the instructor is doing something does NOT mean you EVER have to do that move. You do what YOU feel comfortable doing. Whether you are recovering from an injury or your knees aren't what they once were, you can always modify a move to fit your needs-and I'm here to help you find modified solutions.

The workouts are about 35 minutes long and the program lasts 60 days.
5. Am I going to have to starve myself to look like that?

3 Things Every Beachbody Challenger Needs To Know


Every Day I Get a Question Something Like This:



"So, if you are my coach, then what am I supposed to do? 

What is required of me??"


It's a legitimate question! And I want to help clarify this confusion for YOU!







So, first! Some terminology.

1.) When I become your Coach, YOU become my Challenger. Why are you called a Challenger? Because, you decided to go for your goal, made a commitment to yourself and me, and you are in it to win it-in it for SUCCESS.

That's a Challenge-and it's a challenge we are in together.


2.) My private Facebook Group where we "meet" virtually in is called our Challenge Group.








Now, to answer the REAL questions.

1)What Do You Need For a Challenge Group?

-Each participant is required to have me as their coach.  

2)What Are You Required to Do?

a-You are required to do a Beachbody fitness program, which I will help you to pick the one that best fits your needs.

b-You are required to replace 1 meal a day with Shakeology for the duration of the group because as I am teach you how to change your eating habits and give you the tools to make this a lifestyle change we want to have at least 1 meal each day that is quick and easy but isn't lacking in your nutritional quality.  Shakeology does that!  It is my saving grace because quite honestly there are days that I am so busy that I don't have time to make a balanced meal-so this is my go to!!!  Plus it really does taste awesome!  

c-You are required to log into our online closed Facebook group daily where I share tips, recipes, meal plans, tips to handle eating out, and emotional eating -and work towards improving your body image.

-My goal is to get you a program that you are excited about and that you start and complete it. I do not want it to be something that sits on your shelf and collects dust!  

3)What do you NOT do?

a-You do not share your personal information with your Coach or anyone else. Yes, you take your measurements and weigh yourself. But, that information is solely for YOU! There is nothing about this that is meant to make you feel uncomfortable, and-at least for me!- that would make me REALLY uncomfortable.


b-You do not publicly post on Facebook about your journey or your goals or photos of yourself-unless of course you want to, but none of that is part of this challenge. Again, our Challenge Group is CLOSED. It's PRIVATE. Because this is YOUR journey, not the world's to see. If and when you want to share publicly on Facebook about how awesome you are feeling and looking!!, by all means, go for it! It's just not part of what we do.

c-You and I do NOT meet and workout together. I mean, hey, if you live nearby and you want to workout with me, then, by all means, let's go walking or running or, heck yeah, let's workout together (push-up contest anyone? jk jk) But, as a general rule, coaches and challengers meet online only. We are ladies all over the United States meeting solely online, solely in the Challenge Group that has been set up by me for you.

What Is Beachbody Coaching and Who Do We Coach??

I am gasping for air here, after an Insanity Workout!

So, I was asked today, “What is Beachbody?” And, I thought other people might not know either. So, here goes!
I am a Beachbody Coach. That enables me to work with the Beachbody company to help people achieve their health & fitness goals. 
I do that by running different monthly private Facebook groups that go by different names - Challenge Groups, Clean Eating Groups, Shakeology Challenge Groups, etc. really whatever speaks to me as far as how I can help the most people meet their fitness and nutritional goals-whether that be getting toned, building muscle, eating healthier, or losing weight. 
My goal is to help people learn how to live a healthy lifestyle. 
Beachbody combines the company's scientifically effective fitness programs and nutritional guides and protein shakes (Shakeolgy is way more than a protein shake, but this gives you an idea) along with a free personal coach, that's me!, to help people achieve their fitness and nutritional goals.
So a person purchases the Beachbody line of fitness programs and nutritional supplementation from my website , and then I teach, encourage, motivate, uplift, hold accountable that person -along with a small group of others- within a private Facebook groups for a set period of time. Did that make any sense?
I’m a new coach, and so I hope I’ve explained what I kind of do and what Beachbody is. It would HELP ME A LOT if you comment and let me know how I could better explain myself.
