But, did you know that Fall is the PERFECT time to jump into your goals and resolutions?

No matter how your life used to look, how it looks right now is your reality. Maybe you are at home with the kids now or you work from home. Recognize that your lifestyle may have changed, but that doesn't mean your goals have to! You haven't changed.

NOW is the perfect time for you to take back control of your life. Looking for inspiration?

Be stronger
You are stronger than you know.

 Top Resolutions

Get more organized.

Enjoy more family time.

Learn something new.

Start a new career.

Exercise more.

Help others.

Lose weight.

So, How Do You Even Start?

Your Goal & Your Action Steps

First

1. Set aside a set amount of time to first DEFINE your goal. Make this one sentence if possible with a WHAT? WHEN? HOW?

2. And, above all, know your WHY? WHY do you want this goal?

3. What items will you need? Get them.

4. How much time daily or weekly will you need?

5. What is a reasonable amount of time for you to reach your goal or make your goal a habit?

6. Remember, WRITE everything down, and look at your action plan often!

Next

  1. Decide what you will do if AND WHEN you get off track?

Be honest with yourself and recognize why you haven’t already reached your goal/changed your lifestyle.

    2. In the past, what has been the one TRIGGER that has thwarted your efforts?

For example, if you want to lose weight, what has stopped you in the past?

    3. There is always a who/what/when/how answer to your trigger.

Maybe every evening everyone in your household has dessert, and it’s just habit have a bowl of ice cream, too. The time of day is your trigger. (Are you eating ice cream at 10AM or just in the evening?) You do it without even thinking and it is SO hard to NOT do what you are used to doing, because it has become a MINDLESS HABIT.

    4. Decide BEFORE you start how you will handle your trigger(s).

    5. Have someone you are accountable to, and make sure there is specific time that you hold yourself accountable to them, and, please, make sure it is someone who WANTS to see you succeed.

If you want more quality time with your family, set down with them and tell them why this is important to you. Tell them what you are thinking and get their input. If you want family time then make the goal a family affair!

When Working on Improving Yourself

Know you are going to get off track and life happenings are going to get in the way. Don’t make this an all or nothing kind of thing.  This is a new lifestyle for you. Creating a new way of life takes TIME and PATIENCE.

Give yourself some grace! You’re human!

RECAP

ACTION STEPS TO REACHING YOUR GOALS

  1. Write it down.
  2. Define it.
  3. Prepare for the time commitment.
  4. Put a date to it.
  5. Know your triggers.
  6. Have an accountability partner.
  7. Give yourself grace.

Take The Beachbody Challenge. Decide. Commit. Succeed

I’m a Beachbody Coach – but before that, I was a Beachbody CUSTOMER who needed to see RESULTS. I was a stay-at-home mom, homeschooling two kids, newly married, and in a town where I didn't know anyone, a long ways from the rest of my family.   I didn't have TIME to go to the gym with two young kids, and, to be honest, it was too much work just getting organized enough to get there. I was stressed, lonely, frustrated, and desperate. I needed to find something that WORKED.

I am on a mission--to be the healthiest, most fit me I can be.
We can't do the same things over and over and expect different results!
Do something different-and let me help you get there.

In came Beachbody. A friend loaned me P90X, and, I’ll admit! At first I was skeptical! But, it didn’t take long and I was HOOKED. About that time I started hearing about INSANITY. It was everywhere I looked it seemed-everyone around me was using it and getting RESULTS. I already believed in Beachbody-I went for it.

And do you know what? I SAW ACTUAL RESULTS. AMAZING RESULTS.

I remember this feeling of RELIEF and DISBELIEF- I couldn't BELIEVE the changes in my body from Insanity, the eating plan, nutrient-dense shakes. And, the community of people working towards their fitness goals motivated and inspired me.

I remember looking in the mirror and actually smiling because I liked ME

I was STRONG. I was IN CONTROL of my choices. AND, I was HAPPY.

I felt like I was getting my life back! There was a ME in the daily grind and I taking care of ME felt GOOD.

DECIDE. COMMIT. SUCCEED.

We will, together, pick the workout that is best for you. You'll drink Shakeology. You'll have exclusive access to my fitness challenge group for encouragement and motivation. I will MAKE SURE you SUCCEED.

I DECIDED to try Beachbody. I COMMITTED myself to the workouts and the shakes. I SUCCEEDED. It really is just that easy for you, too.

Because of that, I have set out to pay it forward. Truly, I just want to share my journey. I know I can help other people like me – simply by showing them that they CAN feel confident in their own skin – they CAN feel great about the way they take care of their bodies. I know the lessons and tips I've learned these past 7 years as a Beachbody CUSTOMER will encourage other women who were and are like me.

If you knew you WOULD get results-results that come with a PROMISE from ME personally AND a Money-Back Guarantee from Beachbody. If you KNEW you had NOTHING TO LOSE and EVERYTHING TO GAIN…wouldn’t you JUMP AT THE OPPORTUNITY??!

My results are NOT special to me! Men and women everywhere are seeing AMAZING results BECAUSE THIS PROGRAM WORKS. And I want you to let it work for you! I believe in you. Now it’s time that YOU believe in YOU.

These are REAL people -just like you and me! Can you relate to any of them? Normal, regular women who went for it! DECIDE. COMMIT. SUCCEED.

Listen, if you are like I was, you've tried what you feel like is everything! And nothing has worked. Please, just trust me on this: THIS WILL WORK.

If it could work for me-someone who has an extremely hard time losing weight and keeping it off, someone slightly addicted to Cheez-its. it can and WILL work for someone like you. Because you are JUST like ME.

3 Tips for Scheduling Your Workouts

3 easy ways to keep track of where you've come from and where you are heading on your wellness journey.

         1. Keep your Workout Calendar right where you workout. Your calendar is the Beachbody Calendar that maps out your workouts for every single day of the week-rest day included!

Why is this important?? Checking off your completed workouts makes you FEEL like you have accomplished something, and you have! So, reward yourself! A check -or big red "X"- is a visual reminder of your hard work.

         2. Keep a Workout Binder.

Why does this help?? The simple act of writing down what you have completed encourages consistency. So, when the scale doesn't reflect your diligence, a look at your binder will remind you that now is not the time to quit! Look at all you've done! Also, there is something about having a blank line (from a missed workout) that is motivation in itself to keep at it and fill every line!

My DIY Life: I Heart Painting Furniture

If you were to ask me, "hey, what's your favorite type of wood/stain/style for your home?"  Well, let's just say "cherry stained wood decor" would not make the top 3 ( or 10...or 100). You get my drift. Nonetheless, if you walked through the doors of our home you would honest to goodness think I MUST have an absolute infatuation with it!  The trip, the crown molding, the hard wood, the doors, ALL the furniture. Honestly, when we moved here EVERYTHING was cherry. And, had it not been for a little -umm, a lot- of loving me some painted furniture, we'd still live in a dark, but beautiful!- dungeon. (P.S. Not to mention that ALL furnishings were a nice, flaky, gold color. That was sarcasm. It was ugly.)

So, why oh why have I been so scared to tackle the dining room set?  Well. Namely, it's never my goal to ruin perfectly good furniture.

But, alas, I couldn't take it anymore. A few weeks ago I started tackling the chairs.  So far I've painted a couple Annie Sloan Old White and a couple the Paris Grey. Then I heavily distressed them and gave my best with her dark wax. I really wanted them to look like they have a history to them.

I imagined a loving husband each evening pulling one of those chairs out from under his wife...Lol. Just kidding! Pulling the chair out for his wife at meals.  Or, a little kid using the side of the chair to scoot his way up to the table. And so away I distressed.  I really love them. I even recovered the seats with this beautiful fabric that is like burlap with a silver design. Shabby with some shine. I like that.

The table.  Well, I'm not even going there right now. Remember my little mantra, "I don't want to ruin any furniture?"  Let's just say right now the table looks REALLY beautiful.  With a table cloth on it. Seriously. I'm not too worried, though. That's the thing about chalk paint. It forgives you:). So, when the table looks presentable, I'll show you some pics- maybe even the epic fail when I ran out of paint and was trying to water it down and then I thought ," hmm, maybe if I just wax it it'll look great!"  And when that didn't work I thought," hmm, maybe I can just use a whole lot of dark wax on it and just make it look old."  Yeah, it's as bad as it sounds.

This shows how the dark wax really ages this chair, which I love, love, love.  But, look!  I love the fabric I found, too!  I'll find the name of the fabric-just leave me a message!

Annie Sloan Paris Grey- I love this grey.  It is perfect on, well...ANYTHING!  Here it is distressed!

Sorry!  These photos are not in order.  But, you can see the before photos of the chairs and both the Annie Sloan Antique White and Paris Grey.  Also, there is a photo before I waxed so you can see what you have to work with before waxing.  Waxing changes everything.  I wanted these to look like they had years of love and use, so the dark wax helped give that feeling, as did heavily distressing them.  You don't have to do that.  Do what YOU love....always.
