6 Reasons Beachbody Programs Work



So! Is Beachbody Really All that Different?

I get this question, or some variation of this question a lot. And it's a great question!  I mean, if you are like I was, nothing seemed to work for me, so you are thinking why should this be any different? If you just trust me on this when I say IT IS! then you can skip this whole list and email me right now. But, you probably want some reasons that reasonate with you!


1. Each program comes with a nutrition guide: For once, a company focuses on both aspects of a healthy weight loss... BOTH exercise AND nutrition!

2. Each program has a schedule to follow: No need to be lost on what to do when... It is given to you!

3. There is a program out there for EVERYONE: Based on your Intensity level,  and if you have any restrictions from injuries.

4. Focus on LONG TERM vs. SHORT TERM LIFESTYLE: So many FAD diets are only temporary... The food and shakes are full of chemicals, and do not give you the proper nutrition, SO when you get off these foods and go back to regular food, you will eventually gain that weight back.

5. Time efficient: Being that I am a mom and my husband and I commute back and forth between states, I do not have 1 or 2 hours to spend at the gym, along with trying to raise two teens alone, while I travel back and forth to the gym.... Beachbody's home DVD programs give you the opportunity to work out in your own home, without having to leave the house and waste more time going back and forth.

6. Money saver:  Paying for a monthly gym membership... hmmm, I bet many of us know how that goes... we pay for a gym, but go months without stepping foot in a gym! I have found paying for a workout program that I have FOREVER makes me feel I'm getting the most out of my buck!

5.We take before and after pictures to help track our progress of our journey

6.Challengers check in DAILY: Take 2 minutes to say how your day went.... Did you complete your daily workout, did you drink your Shakeology, and how did you eat? For my groups, I really like to work on what is behind the unhealthiness and work on mental strength as well.

3 Tips for Scheduling Your Workouts

3 easy ways to keep track of where you've come from and where you are heading on your wellness journey.


         1. Keep your Workout Calendar right where you workout. Your calendar is the Beachbody Calendar that maps out your workouts for every single day of the week-rest day included!  

    Why is this important?? Checking off your completed workouts makes you FEEL like you have accomplished something, and you have! So, reward yourself! A check -or big red "X"- is a visual reminder of your hard work.

         2. Keep a Workout Binder. 

    Why does this help?? The simple act of writing down what you have completed encourages consistency. So, when the scale doesn't reflect your diligence, a look at your binder will remind you that now is not the time to quit! Look at all you've done! Also, there is something about having a blank line (from a missed workout) that is motivation in itself to keep at it and fill every line!

    The Master's Hammer & Chisel-Your Questions Answered



    I get so many questions about this workout, I thought I might share them with you. I just want you to know this up front-no matter what exercise program you choose-you have already taken the first step! You have chosen to do SOMETHING! Walk, swim, run, or Hammer & Chisel with me! Just get your body moving because a moving body feels better, lives longer, looks better, and takes you where you want to go, and nothing can get in your way!

    Every Master Was Once A Beginner

    1. This workout is only for people who are already in great shape, right?

    No way! If you ARE already in great shape, this WILL push you to the next level. But, if you are new to exercise or it's been a long time since you've been active, this is STILL a great choice-simply use lighter weights and modify!

    2. Is this workout for men who want to"bulk up"?

    Listen, ladies, we are built differently than men. For we women, it will tone and sculpt. For men, you definitely can work on your Beast look! 


    Leaner and Meaner!

    Bulked up? NO!! Chiseled?!  You Bet!

    3. I'll need a lot of equipment, right?

    Nope. Again, modify. You WILL need weights. A stability ball would be helpful. There is other equipment used in the workouts, like a pull-up bar or a bench, but modifications are shown for everything.

    4. I've got some injuries. Can I workout?
    The key is to ALWAYS modify. Just because the instructor is doing something does NOT mean you EVER have to do that move. You do what YOU feel comfortable doing. Whether you are recovering from an injury or your knees aren't what they once were, you can always modify a move to fit your needs-and I'm here to help you find modified solutions.

    The workouts are about 35 minutes long and the program lasts 60 days.
    5. Am I going to have to starve myself to look like that?
